Prospective voters in the Abuja municipal area council (AMAC) in the federal capital territory are accusing INEC officials of extortion in the ongoing voter registration.
The people who were worried that working materials and personnel are not adequate
said the officers are taking advantage of the rush hour demand for gratifications Abuja municipal area council (AMAC) is one of the six area councils in the FCT which covers the Abuja city centre and its environs for the purpose of the continues voter registration it has ten registration centres Three of these ten units have been changed into collection centres In the other centres where the registration is currently going on, the officers were overwhelmed by crowds of voters who berated the INEC officials for their unto- ward conduct The people are however calling on INEC to extend the date to enable millions of Nigerians exercise their voting right The continuous voter registration is expected to close on august 17 2018 to enable INEC fast track its preparations for the 2019 general elections
