Benue Lecturer Arraigned For Criminal Conspiracy And Rape Of 13 Year Old

A Lecturer of the Department of Catering and Hotel Management Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Andrew Ogbuja has been arraigned at the upper Area Court One in Makurdi, the State Capital, for Criminal Conspiracy and Rape of a thirteen year old girl.

The defendant's Son Victor Ogbuja was equally accused of having canal knowledge of the said victim without her consent. Presiding Judge Denen Kwen, however adjourned the case to the twenty fourth of September and held that the accused be remanded at the Federal Prison in Makurdi. Fifty one year old Andrew Ogbuja a Lecturer of the Department of Catering and Hotel Management Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo was arraigned Monday at the Makurdi Upper Area Court One for Criminal Conspiracy and rape of thirteen year old Elizabeth Ogbanje who was his ward between twenty thirteen and twenty fifteen. The thirteen year old victim narrated her unfortunate ordeal which initially began with the lecturer’s Son Victor now a student at the University of Agriculture Makurdi who is at large and failed to appear in Court. Counsel to the Accused David Ojile however argued that there was no basis for the accusation as his client would eventually be proven Innocent. A plea was not taken for want of Jurisdiction and the accused was remanded at the Federal Prison. The case was adjourned to the 24th of September for further hearing.
