FCT Doctors Threaten Strike

Authorities of the Federal Capital Territory Administration have denied receipt of any notice of a strike by resident doctors in the nation's capital.

Director of public health services, Dr Humphrey Okoroukwu told AIT that the health and human services secretariat is not aware of such development.
There are however reports that resident doctors in the territory will commence indefinite strike on august 25, if the authorities don’t reverse deductions from their salaries.
The threat is contained in a communiqué’ after the meeting of the national association of resident doctors in the territory which described the deductions as “obnoxious” and negating scientific reasoning.
