Nigeria maintains top spot as the highest ranked African team in the World as published in the latest FIFA Women’s World ranking.
The Super Falcons are ranked 38th in the World; 9 places above the next ranked African team – Ghana.
Meanwhile,with no movements in or out of the top five in Africa – just accumulation and deduction of points – it means that Africa’s top five remain as its been in the past two publications.
The top five maintain their position with Ghana (47),
Cameroon (49),
South Africa (50) and
Equatorial Guinea (54) appearing in that order.
Globally, the USA, Germany, England, France and Canada make up the top five in that order.
The ranking was released on Friday by the world governing body and the next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be published on 7 December 2018.
