PASTOR ADAMS: The Reward for Efficiency and Dedication

Luke 16:7-12

[7] Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.

[8] And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
[9] And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
 [10] He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
 [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ?
[12] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

 INTRODUCTION. 

The trend in society of nowadays is truce braking, disloyalty to constituted authorities, betrayals and all forms of elusive behaviors . These anomalies have created a divide among families, organizations, communities and relationships. The ever increasing gap created by this trend is currently the undoing of many destinies and potentials and the reason many have not found their dreams and purpose fulfilled and many are unable to find help and answers to their question. The word of God remains constant with regards to the subject matter.

Nobody can rise above the values they entrench and the responsibilities that can entrusted to them.This is a subject that has kept many potentials and destinies in one position and without any influence and relevance. God shall give us a new heart of dedication and efficient living today in Jesus name.

 WHAT IS EFFICIENCY

1. This means skillfulness in avoiding waste with regards to time and effort.
2. The ratio of output compared to input and investment in a system or a person .
3What is your efficiency ratio compared to the thing committed into your hand, the investment of your organization and that of God on you?
Daniel 1:4 KJV
[4] Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldean. 
Example: As manager, as an entrepreneur,as an apprentice etc. As an HOD, As deaconess, assistant pastor, Pastor, as a Christian saved by the precious blood of Jesus etc. 

WHAT DEDICATION

A. The act of binding oneself (intellectually and emotionally ) to a course of action.
B. Complete and wholehearted fidelity. Dedication requires the heart and mind of a person in total commitment and loyalty to the course of action or a person.

QUESTION: Can people trust you with their money, their children and possession ? Do you posses the character of commitment and loyalty. Do people see you as the right man for the Job or the assignment?  Sometimes I wonder , where is our conscience ? They way we abuse trust.

LETS STUDY JOSEPH BOTH WHEN HE WAS IN PRISON AND WHEN HE WAS FREE 

PRISON LIFE. Genesis 39:22 KJV
[22] And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it .

AS FREE Genesis 39:8-9 KJV
[8] But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; [9] There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? He maintained his fidelity and dedication. 

 WHAT IS THE REWARD FOR EFFICIENCY AND DEDICATION. 

1. Promotion without stress: 1 Samuel 18:5 KJV
[5] And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
 2. You have access to greatness and great men:Proverbs 22:29 KJV 
[29] Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men . Proverbs 12:24 KJV [24] The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

 3. You attract uncommon favour: Genesis 39:3,6 KJV
[3] And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. [6] And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person , and well favoured.
4. You receive commendation of God and men: Matthew 25:23 KJV 
[23] His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

 5. You can be recommended for progress/honor: Genesis 41:12 KJV
[12] And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

 THERE IS CONSEQUENCE FOR BEEN SLUGGISH AND LOUSY.

Proverbs 12:27 KJV 
[27] The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. Life is not pleasant for the uncommitted & lazy. Prayer and fasting cannot replace diligence, faithfulness and obedient commitment. 
 Matthew 25:26-28 KJV
[26] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:0 [27] Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
[28] Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
Matthew 25:30 KJV
[30] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Proverbs 25:19 KJV 
[19] Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

 This is why JESUS SAID

"Matthew 11:28 KJV [28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
